It is well known that the great mitsvah of tsedakah is of upmost importance, especially in our time of Ikvitah D'meshicha. The Rambam writes that the greatest form of tsedaka is that the giver doesn’t know who the receiver is and that the receiver doesn’t know who is the giver. There is a ma'alah to give to Amelei Torah and another ma'alah of poor families in Eretz Yisrael. All of these ma'alot are found in the fund of “Mishan U'Mivtach” that our dear alumnus, Yitzchak Benzaken opened when hearing the cry of his fellow brethren in Israel, some who are directly affected by the war and others who simply learn B'mesirut Nefesh disregarding the financial cut of the government. The beneficiaries gain the ability to learn with more Menuchat Hanefesh and the donors benefit from the zechuyot of Hachzakat Hatorah. Sincerely, Rabbi Hillel Haber
